 I've spent my entire professional life as a television network publicity and corporate communications executive at such places as Fox, GSN and Lifetime TV. I get a rush dealing with live broadcasts, tight deadlines and press conferences. I think I enjoy my job so much because I love working with the press. In addition to all that, I enjoy being an industry blogger and a social media expert and leading my own consulting firm in Los Angeles.

[...] I cannot even begin to wrap my head and heart around the devastation that Haitians are experiencing at this very moment. Tuesday’s catastrophic earthquake has literally rocked the entire world. I am at a loss for words – the images I’m seeing from CNN have simply silenced me. [...] Kudos to whoever is managing Sarah Palin’s brand. Her latest foray into becoming a Fox News analyst was brilliant for a number of reasons. She’s on her way now and getting well-paid for it too. She certainly is a lady of luck. There’s nothing rouge about her branding, it’s all calculated and they are doing an incredible job. [...] If you were chatting with me today, here’s what I would be talking to you about – NBC (The No Brains Corporation), Conan O’Brien and Jose Canseco. If you are under pressure due to the economy or because you are in a career transition it is VERY IMPORTANT that you heed this advice. TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME. Don’t let the added pressure of a new year, cause you anymore stress than you already have. [...] |
